Cybersonica & Encompass Sonic Art Exhibition
Monday, 8th - Saturday, 20th May 2006

www.cybersonica.org/artists

Cybersonica and Encompass, in association with Phonica Records, present a two-week exhibition of contemporary sonic artworks. The exhibition showcases a range of sonic and audiovisual works which move beyond the ‘screen, keyboard, mouse scenario’ to explore new and exciting approaches to creative interactivity - responding to physical input, proximity, sound, kinetics, elapsed time and the surrounding environment. All the selected works are playful, engaging and accessible to all.

Cybersonica 06 is supported by the Arts Council England and the exhibition features five newly commissioned sonic artworks presented alongside pieces selected form our open Call for Existing Works which received over 80 submissions from artists worldwide.

Cybersonica Conference
Friday, 19th May 2006, 11am-11pm
Saturday, 20th May 2006, 11am-8.30pm
The Science Museum’s Dana Centre, 165 Queens Gate, London SW7 5HE

The Cybersonica Conference is a leading event for anyone interested in the theory and practice of how new technologies are shaping and changing the way musicians, digital artists, audiovisualisers and software developers make and present their work.

Through presentations, keynote addresses, workshops and illustrated lectures the Cybersonica Conference programme is a ‘snapshot’ of the latest developments in music, sound and audiovisual fusion. By encouraging fresh, new talent and supporting established sonic creators, innovators and developers the Conference showcases the latest work of some of the most innovative artists and commercial practitioners in the field.

The Cybersonica 06 Conference will be documented by the Cybersonica Web TV team and elements of the festival will be web streamed live.
